D-LAB
AT THE HARVARD T.H. CHAN SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
There has been tremendous progress in improving health around the world over the last century. Still we are faced with persistent, intractable problems, rooted in the intersection of humans, organizations, and the natural environment, that threaten our well-being.
Many of these remaining public health challenges are fraught with uncertainty due to the intangible cultural, social and systemic factors that are difficult to measure and difficult to control.
The D-Lab at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health aims to help solve these problems by complementing the rigorous approach of public health with design’s ability to address complex problems tied to human behavior.
